Cotton Post Wednesday Gains

Cotton futures closed out the Wednesday session with contracts getting a midweek pop. Front months were up 40 to 54 points at the closing bell. Crude oil futures were up 94 cents/barrel and the US dollar index $0.369 higher on the day. 

The Seam showed 2,569 bales in online sales on Tuesday at an average price of 57.80 cents/lb. The Cotlook A Index was back up 25 points on 3/25 at 77.75 cents/lb. ICE cotton stocks were unchanged on March 25, with the current level of certified stocks at 14,488 bales. USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) was up 87 points last Thursday to 54.63 cents/lb. 

May 25 Cotton  closed at 65.68, up 54 points,

Jul 25 Cotton  closed at 67.22, up 47 points,

Dec 25 Cotton  closed at 69.29, up 49 points
