Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 1.49%

Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Other Electronic and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 1.49%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Chang Ho Fibre Corp (TW:1468), which rose 9.81% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Johnson Health Tech Co Ltd (TW:1736) added 7.76% or 13.00 points to end at 180.50 and KYE Systems Corp (TW:2365) was up 7.17% or 3.15 points to 47.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Uniflex Technology Inc (TW:3321), which fell 9.93% or 1.40 points to trade at 12.70 at the close. Metaage Corp (TW:6112) declined 9.92% or 6.60 points to end at 59.90 and Hiwin Technologies Corp (TW:2049) was down 9.41% or 32.50 points to 313.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Uniflex Technology Inc (TW:3321) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.93% or 1.40 to 12.70.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.33% or 0.23 to $69.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.32% or 0.23 to hit $73.04 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.93% or 26.62 to trade at $2,875.12 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.05% to 32.90, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 107.18.
